Tab Lift

A small helper concept for the first fiddly step of opening a cat-food tin. A short, blunt wedge is designed to slip beneath a compatible pull tab and lift it into reach, with a broad handle to hold onto.

Concept · In development

Give dinner-time tabs a little lift.

  • Short wedge with a rounded tip and reinforced neck
  • Broad grip for controlled leverage
  • Single printed piece with an integral attachment eyelet
  • Intended to raise the tab, not cut or pull off the lid
  • Target size: 50 × 24 × 6 mm
  • Target materials: PLA or PETG; single-piece P2S design

How it is intended to work

With the tin on a stable surface, gently slide the wedge beneath a compatible tab and lift it slightly. Remove the tool, then open the tin using its tab. Do not force a tight fit.

For the owner’s keys. Not a pet toy or collar accessory.

Concept only — not yet printed, tested or for sale. Dimensions, material suitability and fit remain design targets.
