Waste-bag opening aid

A small helper for the fiddly part of a dog walk. Two PETG jaws on a guided pivot hold silicone pads face to face. Pinch the bag’s open edge between them, then twist slightly to help separate the films.

  • Two 56 × 32 × 4 mm jaws
  • Guided M3 pivot keeps the jaws aligned
  • Recessed seats for two 24 × 18 mm silicone pads
  • Finger grooves on the back faces
  • Separate carry hole on one jaw

Two PETG printed jaws, plus bought silicone pads, M3 pivot hardware and a thin spacer.

Prototype: physical testing is pending. Not yet for sale.

How to use it

  1. Find the empty bag’s open edge and place it between the pads.
  2. Pinch lightly and turn the jaws a few degrees in opposite directions.
  3. Remove the tool once the films separate.

Before you try it

For clean, empty bags only. One-handed use has not been validated. Hand wash and dry. Keep pads and small hardware away from pets.

Where it is in development

Editable CAD and Bambu P2S print projects exist for this revision, and digital checks passed for watertight geometry and slicing. Physical fit, strength, wear and real-world performance still need testing before any listing.
